Description

AMR is seeking an Advanced EMT to provide high-quality pre-hospital care and safe medical transportation for emergency and non-emergency patients. In this role, you will perform advanced life support interventions, conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and assist paramedics and other clinical staff in diverse field settings. You will collaborate closely with dispatch, hospitals, and first responders, maintain accurate medical documentation, and ensure vehicle readiness. Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical care and transportation
Conduct focused and comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately
Administer approved medications, IVs, and advanced life support interventions per protocols
Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment in a safe and ready condition
Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and first responders via radio and phone
Assist paramedics and other clinicians with critical care and patient movement
Follow clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Complete electronic patient care reports and required documentation in a timely manner
Participate in ongoing training, skills refreshers, and quality improvement initiatives
Represent AMR professionally while engaging with patients, families, and community partners
Advanced Life Support (ALS)

State Advanced EMT (AEMT/EMT-I) certification or license
Current NREMT Advanced EMT certification preferred
CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers
ACLS and PALS or PEPP preferred/within specified timeframe
Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
EVOC/ambulance driving certification preferred
Knowledge of local EMS protocols and regulations
Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely
