Description

AMR is hiring an Advanced EMT to provide high-quality emergency and non-emergency medical care and transport in a fast-paced field environment. In this role, you’ll perform advanced life support interventions, assess and stabilize patients, and safely operate or assist with ambulance transport. You will collaborate closely with paramedics, EMTs, nurses, and public safety partners while following AMR clinical protocols and safety standards. Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical care
Perform patient assessment, triage, and advanced life support interventions
Safely transport patients by ambulance while monitoring and documenting condition
Operate or assist with operation of emergency vehicles per safety and traffic laws
Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and public safety agencies
Complete accurate electronic patient care reports and required documentation
Maintain medical equipment, supplies, and vehicle readiness
Follow AMR clinical protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards
Advanced life support (ALS)
IV/IO initiation
Airway management
Cardiac monitoring and defibrillation
Medication administration (per protocols)
12-lead EKG interpretation (basic)
Trauma assessment and stabilization
Emergency vehicle operation
Electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)
Radio communications and dispatch systems
State Advanced EMT (AEMT or equivalent) certification/licensure
Current NREMT AEMT certification (where applicable)
CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers
ACLS preferred or obtained after hire
PALS or PEPP preferred
Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
EVOC/CEVO emergency vehicle operator training (preferred)
